Qualified Arborists is an initiative designed to offer the public information about the services of providers of quality professional arboricultural services.

Arboriculture is now a recognised trade with a four-year apprenticeship in line with other long-standing trades. The members of Qualified Arborists have in common their experience, skill and commitment to the highest industry standards for the profession of arboriculture and are leaders in spearheading the ongoing process of professionalisation of the industry.

We are arborists who you can trust to do work that meets professional standards for quality, safety, customer focus, care for trees and the environment, and value for money.

Qualified Arborists offers a directory of recommended providers around Australia and is transitioning to a membership organisation for professional arborists Australia-wide.

What we do

As a professional member organisation in development that provides and maintains a searchable directory of quality providers, we offer listed providers and clients a professional community of arborists. We offer arborists, their clients and the general public a credible and authoritative source of information about the profession of arboriculture.

We believe the professionalisation of arborists is in the interests of the Australian community at large. Through our professional arboricultural activity generally and specifically through this website, we seek to promote knowledgeable, skilful, responsible and professional care for trees and care for the Australian natural and built environment.

For arborists

We offer listing on our directory and a forum for arborists around Australia to share industry and professional news and contribute to the continuing professionalisation of the industry.

We invite applications from present and potential members of our directory to become inaugural members of our organisation.

We also aim to become a valued source of business and marketing intelligence for the industry in Australia.

For the public

We offer the public a searchable directory of providers of arboricultural services with an assurance of the professional standards of the arborists listed.

We offer a forum for discussion of matters pertaining to arboriculture, care for the natural and built environment, and the professionalisation of the industry.

We offer a source of information about the continuing professionalisation of arboriculture, and seek to promote to the public the new trade standards and encourage clients to expect and demand these professional standards of arborists whose services they engage.

In the future, as our directory is refined and the membership organisation is launched, we hope to be able to offer clients the ability to review the services of our listed providers.

Service commitment

Qualified Arborists undertakes to provide up-to-date, accurate and reliable information about the profession of arboriculture in Australia. We maintain a directory of arborists and information about their services as a service to the public and are committed to fostering and upholding high professional standards in the industry. While we obviously cannot guarantee the work of listed suppliers, we are developing stringent membership criteria which are intended to serve the industry and the public alike and to further the professional reputation of arboriculture and care of trees and the natural and built environment.

For commercial and government clients

Ensure that you partner with providers with the right qualifications, experience and expertise. Use our directory to search for providers listing experience and skills in:

You can also use our directory to search for providers with specific equipment.

For residential clients

We invite residential customers to check our listings for recommended providers near you. We advise customers to be aware that trade qualifications are now required for arborists, and you are both welcome and wise to demand these from the suppliers you choose. The arborists listed in our directory have been carefully selected for their qualifications, safety standards, insurance coverage, equipment, customer focus and respect for trees and the environment.
